Need MP3? Check the output format first
The yt1s YouTube to MP3 page is built for users who want an audio-first workflow from public videos. The delivery format is M4A when available because it is widely supported and avoids pretending every source can become a true MP3 instantly.
Audio-first workflow
Paste a public YouTube URL, select Audio M4A, and prepare a short-lived stream that saves directly to your device when the source allows audio delivery.
Useful for study and editing
Audio downloads can help with permitted lecture review, creator drafts, rough cuts, research and personal offline listening where you have the right to use the content.
M4A and MP3 are different formats
This tool saves M4A audio, not MP3. If your device requires MP3, use an audio converter after saving your permitted audio file. Renaming the extension does not convert the file.
If your download does not start
Check that the video is public and still available on YouTube. Try a lower quality if the selected format fails. Private, removed, live or region-restricted videos may not be supported. Current limits are 30 minutes and 500 MB per download.
Save the file before the link expires
Prepared links are temporary. If a link expires, paste the original video URL again to prepare a new one. On a phone, check your browser downloads or Files app for the saved MP4 or M4A file.
Only process content you own, have permission to use, or are legally allowed to access. Downloading a file does not grant permission to republish it.
